Orange Sorbet Recipe
2 cups sugar
2 cups water
1 ½ cups orange juice
1 Tablespoon grated lemon zest
1) Prepare the sugar mixture
In a medium saucepan, whisk the sugar and water under medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Cool completely in the refrigerator.
2) Whisk in the citrus ingredients and process in an ice cream maker
Whisk in orange juice and lemon zest. Pour into an ice cream maker and mix for 30-40 minutes. If desired, transfer sorbet into an airtight container and place in the freezer for 2 hours or until firm. This recipe makes eight, half cup servings of Orange Sorbet.
