Every time I'm in the Lower East Side of NYC I feel the pull of BabyCakes like a vegan, wheat-free black hole drawing me into it's sugary abyss. The frosting is good enough to have by itself, hence the frosting shots that they sell. My absolute fave is the sandwich cookies with the frosting in the middle. I've been wanting to try the doughnuts but they're always sold out by the time I get there which probably means that they're awesome. While a little on the pricey side, I also always go for the carrot cake cupcake and a slice of sweetbread for the ride home. The sweetbreads always seem a tad on the crumbly side (which explains the four out of 5 stars) but it's still awesome enough to keep on munching. Now they have an LA location!
