Pie Crust - Vegan Baking with Goats

I've accepted the fact that my vegan baking webshows will only be good to a certain point. This is because I don't have a family of happy goat pastry chefs to help me roll out the dough, drink the water down to the proper measuring level and eat the leftover apple skins from the apples that went into the pie. This is quite possibly the cutest baking video of all time. I love how Sherry Piebird playfully and effortlessly mills her own flour on the spot and shows us how to cut coconut oil instead of margarine and shortening into the flour with a pastry blender. Brilliant. Why didn't I think of that? The pie looks de-lish which is obviously due to the goats painstakingly ensuring that quality standards were met. Now to find some goateed pastry chef assistants for Veganbaking.net HQ. Scratch that- staying at Piebird Bed and Breakfast, hanging out with goat friends and having Sherry and Yan bake this pie for me would definitely be much easier and fun.

Piebird

Oh goodness! I just found Piebird the other day while searching for vegan bed and breakfasts in Ontario. We will be staying with them in the spring, I can't wait!
