I am looking something to frost your great apple cake recipe and I am wondering what is : "vegetarian vegetable shortening"?

Can it be replaced by something else?
I have really no idea where to find that...

I followed the recipe, I just used black molasse to replace the rice sirop.

It was so soft and tender, rich in taste with a great "christmas" feeling to it (thanks to the spices). Cannot ask for more, but next time I would have to double the quantities and drop little piece of apple to try that out!

They ended as cookies, not sure why but I tough it was a cookie recipe, I added a half cup brown sugar to it and it turned out very yummy!
