Review Detail
I used turbinado sugar and instead of grating the ginger I made thin slivers. I actually got this recipe from a friend over a month ago but waited until it had been a month in my basement before throwing it in the freezer overnight and having a Ginger Fizz this afternoon.
It is pretty intense ginger (I think I added too much definitely more like a cup of slivers. But I thought since I was perverting high quality vodka it would be alright.
So today I sipped with some tonic water. Hoo-Boy that will put hair on your chest, I am actually looking forward to trying to make ginger bourbon.
I recommend adding a shot of this liquor to 1/2 cup tonic and ripped up fresh mint over crushed ice. We found that to be a great cocktail on a sunny day.

hoo boy!
Ok so I tried this because I always have ginger going bad (buy too much and don't get around to using it) plus I have a crap ton of Grey Goose Vodka that had been sitting in my cupboard for over a year gathering dust.
