Best Vegan Cupcakes? Where?!

What is your favorite vegan cupcake and why? I'm partial to the carrot cake ones at BabyCakes mostly due to the frosting and because I'm completely obsessed with carrot cake
*shhh* I recently tasted one from Magnolia to see what all the hype was about and was super surprised how bland it was with a cool whip type frosting. Overhyped!

I really love banana cakes. Try to visit TheSeedExperience for some healthy recipes that you may love just like me.

I have that cook book and I had a friend make them for me and they were BOMB! However, my favorites or from vegan with a vengeance: Coconut Heaven Cupcakes and Lemon Gem cupcakes. THOSE ARE ALWAYS AWSOME.
However I do love the cookies and cream cupcakes and the tiramisu, and I still really want to try the green tea cupcakes. I just freakin love cupcakes.

I haven't tried that coconut lime cupcake recipe but I have the book so I'll have to give it a go. Recently I've found that when you bake with coconut and you use coconut oil, coconut milk and a little bit of coconut flour (to supplant some of the regular flour in your recipe) the baked item gets elevated to coconut crack status. I'm about to hit up a new bakery in Brooklyn and give their cupcakes a whirl. I'll report back!

I've always lived in areas that are extremely vegan un-friendly, and so have rarely eaten cupcakes that didn't come from my own kitchen. However, I think that the coconut-lime cupcakes from VCTOTW are the best--ever. Keep in mind: I think I might be able to live entirely off of coconuts, so I may be biased.

Come to think of it, I haven't had a cupcake in general that's been so good my head almost exploded. I'm anxious to some day try the cupcakes you have in Salt Lake.

Babycakes dissapointed me (I know I know, let the stoning begin). Maybe it's because I waited until I got all the way back to White Plains to eat it and the journey sucked the magic out.
I'm not too big a fan of Cakewalk here in Salt Lake either. The cupcake I had was dry and the frosting was grainy, I didn't even eat the whole thing.
BUT! There is another place here called Mini's that does a pretty mean chocolate with peanut butter frosting and salted peanuts. It's delicious.
