  I'm a 60+ lady who has adopted a vegan lifestyle wholeheartedly! Over the past 7 months I have been ridding my fridge, pantry and freezer from all animal products. Lost 25 pounds and feel great!

• Interests

  I love to read, especially historical fiction and British mysteries. I garden in the spring and fall (summers in southeast Texas are brutal).

• Favorite things to bake

  muffins and brownies have turned out fairy well.

• Favorite baked items to eat

  muffins and brownies are my favorite so far.

• What types of vegan baking are you trying to master?

  I'm trying to find some cake recipes for a light, moist cake. The cakes I have baked so far are so dense.

• Favorite Music

  Some Country Music but my all-time favorite is listening to the oldies from the 1960s, especially the "British Invasion" groups--Beatles, Dave Clark Five, Herman's Hermits, Jerry and the Pacemakers..

• Favorite Movies/TV Shows

  Watched "The Glen Miller Story" the other night with Jimmy Stewart and June Alyson--remembered how much I love that move. Have to get Gone With the Wind fix yearly. Masterpiece Theater TV
