  I am a mom, wife and educator in an independent school passionate about the environment, poverty, equal rights and education and how these are intertwined.

• Interests

  I love to spend time with my children, write, read, dance, have wine with friends, argue, and bake. And since I have been vegan I am starting to enjoy cooking. I also love to plan events.

• Favorite things to bake

  cupcakes, bread, cake, cookies and scones. Almost anything. Lately, I have been working on veganizing all my traditional recipes.

• Favorite baked items to eat

  Anything warm and spicy.

• What types of vegan baking are you trying to master?

  All of it. I hope to someday open a vegan bakery. We have none in the area.

• Favorite Music

  Alternative rock, Counting Crows and some of my son's hip hop.

• Favorite Movies/TV Shows

  Twelve Angry Me, The Family Stone, Death and the Maiden. Love football. Love documentaries.

• Favorite Books

  To Kill a Mockingbird, The Rainbow, Lion of Ireland. The Harry Potter Series.
