Stop the presses!  We're now taking submissions in the form of food blog links!  Have a food blog?  Send us a link to your vegan baking related blog entry and the intro that you'd like us to post with the link at our Blog Link Submission Form.  If it looks delicious we'll take an image from your blog entry and post the link to it on our front page! 

This is a great way to get publicity for your food blog.   And it's great for us because we want to make it easy for people to find bomb vegan delights.  We only post an image of your food blog entry, an introduction of your entry and a link to your food blog entry.

Once we're linked to your food blog entry, people will be able to rate it on our 5 cupcake rating system just like the recipes that are posted directly on Veganbaking.net.

Oh what a pun!  I've probably just simultaneously pissed everyone off and gotten respect by saying that but it's true.  I've finally released this thing to the world and I just wanted to take a chance to introduce myself.  My name is Mattie and this site is a result of my brainstorming to find a way to bring together all of the crazy creativity coming out of vegan kitchens around the world.  What if we all had access to this creativity, harnessed it and shared it?  Being an open source software geek I've learned that embracing openness can indeed change the world.  This change is exactly what the vegan baking community needs to flourish.  That's why every recipe on this site is licensed by the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License.  This ensures that these recipes stay in a state where they will continue to benefit the vegan baking world forever.  No recipes or articles on this site are copyrighted and they remain public domain forever.  How punk rock is that?!

I've been dabbling in vegan baking since the late 90's when I had an overwhelming urge to eat something involving chocolate and coconut but I barely knew how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.  I ended up experimenting then eventually starting a vegan organic baking company in the San Francisco Bay Area called Enchanted Oven Baking Co.  Making it in the food industry was hard so I had to give it a rest for a while but little did I know, this was only the beginning. 

So who's the Veganbaking.net team?  Well, it's the people behind this site and anyone else who's into pushing the envelope of vegan baking by contributing recipes, guest blog entries, articles and fun forum posts.  We are a team and we're armed to the teeth with vegan baking passion.  Join us!

We hope you enjoy being a part of our community.  Feel free to start out by tweaking your Profile. Then Browse Recipes so you can find that tasty treat you've been looking for.  Have a scrumptious delight you want to share with the world? Submit Your Goodies by either posting the full recipe or the link to your food blog and it will get rated by the community via a 5 cupcake rating system (please only rate recipes that you've tried).  What about that baking tip that you think everyone should know about?  Let everyone know about it and Submit an Article!
